Happy Independence Day

We have started an annual tradition of going up to Flagstaff, Az every 4th of July.  Dad had wanted to go, so we made plans and we were all very excited to go.  Well that very year, dad passed away June 22nd.  We were debating wether we should still go or not, but decided we all needed a break and to get out of town.  The yearly trip has turned into a lot of fun for the whole family that we look forward to going to every year.

It is not an uncommon occurance to have the neices and nephews over to play.  We let them stay up late watching movies, eat all the junk food they want, and then send them home to their mommas!

Bret finally popped the ? and asked Marissa to marry him.  Boy I hope she knows what she is getting into.  Bret proposed at the Los Angeles Zoo in California while we were there on a Family trip.

Memories!

Over the last couple weeks, I have had the unfortunate opportunity to attend several funerals. I am always amazed at the love of my family and my extend family when a loved one passes on.

I was looking thru old photos and came across the video that Justin put together for my mom and dad's SURPRISE 30th wedding anniversary. I miss my dad every single day, but I treasure all of the great memories of my dad. Love ya!!!

Justin's mom Aissa likes to take a trip to Prescott, Az every December for the Court House Lighting.  2011 was no exception.  Justin, myself, and his mom headed out for the weekend.  It was FREEZING cold and we were so not prepared.  Oh well, there is always next year to get it right :-)
